Afternoons with Robin Hood in Nottingham
April 15th, 2007
As we live in the Midlands i think we live in a prime location as it states we are in the middle of the England.
So one Saturday we decided to make most of our location and head up to Nottingham. Now this is my second time to Nottingham and the second time i didn’t quite make it to Sherwood Forest.
Therefore we did the next best thing we explored the city centre and spent the afternoon at Nottingham Castle. Within the Castle grounds we meet a Robin Hood want to be who was kind enough to share a photo with me. Which i was grateful for even though he was wearing a fox skin and had strong body odour ( i guess he was being authentic)
Whilst we where at the castle we went on a tour of the caves underneath the castle and it’s grounds which was really interesting. At this point our camera ran out of batteries which was a bummer. So what do you do after exploring the castle tunnels and cave’s? Refresh yourself with a drink at “the oldest pub in the UK” Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem. The pub sits right on top of the rock face of the castle, so it was very neat to have a drink in a one of the many caves.
Enjoy the pics
